Mid-morning Lullaby

by StandStill   Oct 12, 2008

I can hear your smile,
i love to hear that sound.
It's maybe just like music
and makes the world go round.

Little lullabies,
stories told to calm,
woven fabric of a memory
held out in your palm.

Happy poems come not oft',
don't often see the smile.
Time and space, it keeps us down;
three thousand too many miles.

But on those days that are cold,
and the days that are hard,
poems like this
can't be far from our hearts.

But today is a good day,
good dreams and sweet smiles.
A mid morning lullaby,
tis the first in a while..
