When You Walk In The Room

by Dee   Oct 13, 2008

Spending time with friends
At a quiet little bar
Sipping drinks and enjoying the atmosphere
But still wondering where you are

It is almost inevitable
That you will show up soon
It really cheers me up
When you walk in the room

We have nothing in common
From our age to our lifestyle
But when I see you walk in the room
It always makes me smile

I like to dance with you
Last time, I got a little dirty
I am not really not that way
But I admit I can be flirty
When you walk in the room

We really are so different
But yet we are a lot alike
I felt so comfortable
When you sat with us last night

You don't often find true gentlemen
When you are in a bar
But with you I feel safe
Because of who you are

We both like Tony Stewart
Our birthdays are three days apart
We both have commercial licenses
And when we drink, we do not drive our cars

But still we are so different
So all I can do is assume
That I will discreetly be watching
For you to walk in the room

I really hope that someday
We can be close friends
And it will make me happy
Seeing you again
When you walk in the room
I hope you get here soon...... ;)
