The Smell Of Rain

by X Harlea X   Oct 15, 2008

Nothing left but a memory
she doesn't know this is the 21st century.
car crash does a lot of damage
her mind is blank; she wants to cram it.

tough choices in everyday life
she has even stopped believing in Jesus Christ.
may someone help her please!
will someone have enough courtesy?

nothing left but a memory
she doesn't know this is the 21st century.
hearing an unclogged drain empty
suddenly she remembers the smell of rain.

** readers: this poem is sad because the only thing that she remembers after the car crash is the smell of rain after a storm.**
