Death of Necessity

by StandStill   Oct 16, 2008

All the flowers are now dead,
those ones you cut at the stem,
relive your glory days today
you're screaming now because of them.

And you're praying
that he won't say good night
because when he leaves you darling, dear,
it's on come the fears and out goes the light.

The smell of smoke,
you can taste behind your teeth.
Nothing here is sacred,
not need to know, it's know to need.

Settle down, my baby,
it's all irrelevant now.
You didn't need them, darling..
don't need them anyhow.
