Hallucinations Comfort Me

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Oct 16, 2008

I challenge you to make sense of it. :]

----
As I speak to my hallucinations
I notice the shadows are dancing.
The figments start accusations,
as I turn to the shadows, glancing.

They sway under the dimly lit lights,
and the figments yell for my attention.
Gazing at such magnificent sights,
I ignore the figment's convention.

I look down and rest my eyes,
to later open them once more.
What I observed were not lies,
but stars aligning on the floor.

As I bent over, they dispersed,
and some climbed up the walls.
I poked at one and it burst,
then I watch as each star falls.

Touching the floor, they disappeared,
to a space pitch black, and cold.
The floor under my feet reappeared,
but the white walls began to fold.

Down they went, each wall collapsed,
and each chatting figment left undetected.
I looked at my clock, little time elapsed,
this wasn't quite the night I had expected.
