Broken Dreams

by Jessica   Oct 16, 2008

The lights are spinning,
the darkness settles in.
My world goes black,
I can't go through this again.

The happiness, the joy,
the hurt, the pain.
A few minutes of heaven,
for a lifetime of cold rain.

I believed in dreams,
like I believe in air.
Dreams kept me alive,
dreams helped me to care.

Now my dreams are broken,
millions of pieces at my feet.
Fragments of the life,
that I once believed.

When your dreams are gone,
how do u survive?
Because inside I feel so dead,
although I know I'm alive.

Maybe they'll piece back together,
hopefully over time.
Dreams were my life,
now they're my demise.
