Lullabies

by StandStill   Oct 17, 2008

It's ok, I was just dreaming
of a someday off in neverland.
But those aren't real, wake up, dear;
isn't life just grand?

The world's all sparkling for you dear,
the hot red sparkle from the earth.
It's eating you alive, my dear,
scary part is that it doesn't hurt.

But fear was never priority,
and anyway, it's simply just a dream.
Wake up and rub your eyes,
disappears the sleep.

Can you hear the lullabies,
the ones they sang when you were young?
Funny how we rest our eyes
to lies off of sweeter tongues.
