Cracks in my Mask

by El   Oct 17, 2008

I'm lying and pretending
That everything is fine
No one knows my happiness
Is on a sharp decline

Life flashes by me
I wish I wasn't here
I'm fighting a losing battle
From my eye escapes a tear

My jumper sleeve
slides down my arm
All across my skin
You see marks of self harm

A gasp comes from your mouth
You didn't have any clue
That my life wasn't perfect
Everything was falling through

Crack appear in my mask
My pain is starting to show
I'm not the happy person
That you used to know
