Unseen Escape

by jen   Jun 7, 2004

I'm just sitting here
doing no more than I can rightfully do
and attempting, to just maybe, make sense of this

To maybe find the gray
hidden between the black and the white
that little bit of space
that defines the difference
between you
and me

And truthfully, I'm lost without you here
when you left my world spun out of control
I tired to hold on to its rapid pace
but its powerful force caused me to lose grip

Thats why you see these baby blue tears
trickling down my pale face
but they are not of sadness
they are simply extensions of my frustration
and I'm unbelievably confined that we've been chasing each other around in circles

And with our last rotation we trap ourselves in this gray jail cell
shielding eyes from the truth,
screaming to get out
yet,
the do is left open
for all to escape
