Like one of those paintings by Monet
In little fragments
Tiny brushstrokes against the page
Brilliant, of sure purity
Mixing together only in my own eye
It's the only way I'll understand you
So when you're angry
Rage takes over
Spreads like a malignant disease
I don't want to think of you that way
I want to think that's just a little piece
Merely a small section of who you are
Most of all I want to remember you the same
In the winter and spring
Never colder than I
