Lone Wolf Banished To A Lonely Life

by Jack Nightengale   Oct 20, 2008

A wolf with no complications,
Left his pack to seek his own salvation.

Coming across a long line of his own kind thinking that there was hope,
Soon to realize that they had cut his line and he had come to the end of his rope.

Finally he had found some friends he thought that he could trust,
In the end he came to find that this will soon turn into rust.

In this he lets out a beastly howl of his resolution,
Now all of the things that he had hoped and dreamed of is all an illusion.

With his eyes wide open, he finds himself a victim, a slave to his soft and tender heart,
The hatred in his eyes, the torture in his soul, now and forever an outcast just like it was from the start.

Too late for him now for he is a victim, even when he wouldn't let it show,
Knowing that they never saw the signs, he acts as the wind does and let's everything go.

He tried his hardest to keep it away from everyone so he locked evybody else out,
He leaves while no one is watching so that they can't say anything, he goes to where no one can hear his final shout.

Even though he puts on a smile he struggles through the pain as a slave,
Finally with his untold story out of the way he can rest in his own grave.

The life of a wolf is hard even in his dissolve,
For him in his memory howl as the wolf once did for his final resolve!

Forever an Outcast just like the wolf! Kris.

Not bad at all, I found the flow to be alittle hard to follow at some points but it had a good message

Knowing that they never saw the signs, he acts as the wind does and let's everything go.

^^ Really liked this line, very nice metaphor

Will the wolf ever change his way of thinkin ;) ??
i mean this wolf should more think as a warrior then a victim...
'only the strong will survive over mysteries of life, just keep on livin and dont start givin. . dont stop, dont be a runaway .. go for the fire .. tell me, are u tough enough ?? '

lol sorry had 2 say that .. its a fantastic poem :)
