Something You Should Know

by Skoolboy13   Oct 20, 2008

You knew before I began to write
that this poems was about you
you knew before I began to touch
that everything you felt was true
but I stray from my point
the thing we should talk about
the simple thing inside your chest
how mine loves to beat you name
so serene, free of doubt
there is something you should know
as I look up at you
from one bended knee
and a black box in my palm
inside this box
lies everything that is me
the ceremonial ring you deserve
and a my future
you, my destiny
beauty is defined in many ways
but never quite like you
breathless
as a bright full moon
gently kisses a midnights ocean's blue
or a sunset behind a mountain's peak
a tranquil radiation of color
hovering quietly over
a candle lit dinner for dinner for two
with this box
with this ring
the official symbol of love
to you, my sun
and I, your spring
will you take this token
of my eternal love & passion
to grew, change, and evolve constantly
like today's latest fashions
before you make your decision
take a few moment to think
how your life will play out from here
with me as your husband
and about our love thats on the brink
so my love,
take this box
regardless, it's yours to keep
let's not dive in too early
for my heart, my mind, and my love
are still waters that run deep......
