Today, me and Mom were coming to see you.
I was told you were finally feeling better,
and I thought it would do you good,
to see your niece and your daughter.

at least until I came over,
and allow me to see for one last time your peacefull smile,
and tell you all about my future plans,
and ask for your wise advice...
Instead, I walked into a house
full of pain and tears...
Do you know how many people you left
crying and wishing you weren't dead?
When I saw your face,
I realized you were at peace.
I can only imagine how you felt,
the last few months,
while you were on the edge of death,
tormented by the doctors and the hospitals.
I kissed your face, your lifeless body,
so cold, so distant,
and I realized you were already away,
and you won't come back, you won't...
Dear Grandfather
I promise I'll try to accept the fact you're gone forever,
and that I won't get to see your face,
only because I know that now you're at a better place...
I'm just really sorry,
I didn't get to say goodbye,
before you went away.
Hope you'll forgive me one day...
You know, you'll always stay,

My Grandfather passed away on 19.10.08
I haven't seen him since July.
I was gonna go and see him that day
But he couldn't wait.I wish I went there earlier.
Hope he'll forgive me for not saying goodbye...
