Their eyes

by Heidi   Oct 21, 2008

Her eyes hide the meaning,
Of the true love she has for him.
She quivers as she speaks,
And her blood is running thin.
Her smile slowly crosses her face,
And she looks into his eyes.
She puts herself out there,
She's a lover in disguise.
All she ever wanted was the boy,
She couldn't help but ask why.
How come this boy didn't want her,
It was fake love, love you call a lie.
A girl that would never mean anything,
Her shadow would slowly fade.
And he would no longer linger,
Through the dark alley's and pathways.
He would no longer wonder,
Why she had gone away.
Because he would slowly forget her,
And promise himself he wouldn't love her today.
His heart would no longer be broken,
From the hidden love he held on his sleeve.
Tears wouldn't cling to his cheek,
As he tried to fight the hate and grieve.
For his love was hidden,
Deep within his dark brown eyes.
The only way he would find the answers,
Would be by asking the men in the sky.
Eventually he would quit falling asleep wondering,
And he would no longer continue dreaming.
Maybe one day he would wake up,
And wonder why his heart is still beating.
She would have never been able to understand,
He said, even though he was a liar.
It was only a way to push her away,
Because he knew their love had lost it's fire.
All he ever wanted was to be faithful,
For this girl to look at him and realize.
That he was never going to go anywhere,
He never wanted his love to be disguised.
