Rain falls... why do poets write so much on rain?
Poets can say what others cannot,
That rain is a mixture of peace and pain.

Like a soothing balm to a hurting soul,
Yes, rain can do what sunshine cannot,
It lifts and lights your heart to make you whole.

Dance with it, cry with it, enjoy its song,
Meet hardship with a smile, life goes on,
From up high rain falls, washing away wrong.

So just for a moment lift your head high,
You who are broken, take a breath go on,
Take comfort from this the tearful sky.

True joy, true peace, lasts through sunshine and rain.
True hope, true faith, endures through hardship and pain.
