Nothing Lasts Forever

Paint me in crimson.
Cut me like glass.
Leave me forver,
Because forever never lasts.

Scream that you hate me,
And you're never coming back.
Yell until your lungs give out,
While simply just relax.

There's no truth in your hate,
No sorrow in your eyes,
Because you know you'll return,
Like you do every time.

You say your goodbye,
And slam loves door.
Now you're long gone,
And I'm pacing the floor.

It's been 5 months now,
And you haven't returned,
So I'm forced to move on,
With this hard lesson learned.

So I paint myself in crimson,
Cut myself with glass,
Lost in my forver,
That just didn't last.
