Those Days

Can't we all remember those days?
where someone said I love you
it was magic, wasn't it!
and you smiled the whole day through

i think back now
it was glorious, the way he catered to me
let me take his hand and follow
he told me, I will make you happy, you'll see

He lead to places
they were filled with splendor
I always felt so useless against his charm
never failing to surrender

But now our sun has set
the rainbow has faded
long passionate talks
are fruitless and jaded
