Silent meditation

by Ingrid   Oct 22, 2008

Thoughts turn inwards
I deliver myself
to the Lord
living inside of me
Help me find myself again
Cheek still bruised
from the many kisses
my love bestowed upon me
All has left me
No fears, no pain,
just tranquil silence
Meditating
on the meaning of love
all over again

Ingrid, this was really beautiful...I thought it had a serene feeling, a kind of acceptance of love in all its aspects. Very well done.

^^^Michael, the bruised cheeck was a metaphor. Never heard of the kiss of Judas? I was referring to the many times my lover betrayed me and my love for him.

    Ingrid,

this poem should not be taken on face value alone. It speaks of faith and its power to reinstal love that was once misguided.

Bruised kisses bestowed by a loved one...that sent chills through me, a reference to domestic violence, argueably the biggest love crime of all.

Faith can restore all, can't it?

    ((hugs))

Very poignant. You seem at peace with the world and that is always a good thing.
