Fate

by Soulful Ensemble   Oct 24, 2008

Don't worry mom, I'm doing nothing wrong
I'm just living a life of love while you try to prong.
Don't have a heart attack dad, everything's fine
You should lay down and have a good time.

Don't you worry about me because life is a road
And I'm walking, holding hands, but I used to walk alone.
Don't worry about me because I'm almost done
I can see the exit and my soul has come.

Everything is fine at this side of the road
The only thing dead is a big fat toad
That a car didn't forgive while going home
But everybody knows that fate has come.

My doctor was trying to hurt my body
My shrink was trying to make me crazy;
So now I sit at home and study
Everything that made my mind so hazy.

I'm not trapped in a 4 by 4 square
Like I was once forced to bare.
Everyone gives advice they can't follow
But they expect me to get rid of sorrow.

Well I'm walking, holding hands, now mom
And I'll be at the end of the road by tomorrow.
Yes, I can already see my home
Its coming up behind the sun that borrows
Happiness from the moon as pretty flowers all bloom
And now that kills the sorrow that used to swoon.

I don't feel pressed and I'm not stressed
I'm calm like a river flow that hits my chest.
There are so many girls who didn't pass the test
And I'm happy you're the very best.
