Let's pretend

by theory of the loser   Oct 24, 2008

There's nothing here,
just a deep,
blackened abyss.

That's just how it is,
so lost, so companionless,
is that how it goes,
really, is that how it ends.

Sounds like a sad story,
I don't want to play,

let's pretend,
we'll save the world,
all it's creations will be okay,
nothing will stop,
let's always breathe,
let's never give up,
let's never leave.

We can do this,
but this story's got an ending,
I don't want to hear it,
no stop, don't repeat it,
it's not something I like,
I don't wanna hear it,
don't make me spite.

I think we should pretend to be happy,
that's what everyone does,
let's play it today,
be as happy as a dove,
can you believe it?
I can't,
this world is so happy.

Today let's play,
I want to pretend,
that My family loves me,
and that it's not world war III.

But today that won't happen,
but please come play with me.
