So many people use the word
But how many really think it's true
Every time they get in a relationship
They will always use the phrase "I love you"
Do they really love that other person
Have they fully given them their heart
Will they still love them if they break up
And their heart is shredded apart
So what does love really mean
Doesn't it mean a love that will last forever
Then why do so many people stop caring
When at one point, they thought they'd always be together
Love is something that should never fade
Love is not a feeling but rather a soul's counterpart
Someone that you will still love for the rest of your life
Even if the two do actually separate apart
Don't tell me you love me
If you won't be there to catch me
I've been lied to too many times
And my heart is too broken to see
So please don't lie to me
Please treat my heart right
Because I can't go thru another broken one
And I don't want to be lonely again at night
