The dream.

Once i had a dream so vivid.
everything was in haze and blurry,
yet i still remember touching your face.

those sparkling eyes, that angelic smile.
that was the moment where time did stop.
and the whole world was only ours to walk alone.

i was speechless for what seemed like forever.
you asked if i was troubled, if my thoughts are clouded and unsure.
out of the blue i spoke,
i never thought this moment would come, when the world is ours alone.
time was out of the factor, and love was the only thing that keeps us alive.

we then walked, we traveled.
for every step, it felt like days.
every passing moment pounded a heartbeat away.
though it was not fear to make me shiver,
it was the excitement to be with you forever.

holding your hand through every second,
and never letting go.
if one would, then death is the only thing that would get me through.
pain couldn't hurt me, but the retaliation of faulted love hurts the worst.

the world suddenly stood still. ..
stars shined, and red roses fell to the ground.
at that moment i thought i was dead, i thought i was in heaven.
i could remember exactly how it felt, when you gave me the sweetest embrace.

a light kiss from your lips,
soon collided with a broken heart of mine.
tears suddenly flowed from my eyes.
that shined like the ones of falling stars.

wind blew from places unknown.
still we walked.
soon we stopped in what seemed like a doorstep.
the wind howled, and while it did,
you said something that was a bit unrecognizable.

soon, i could only find myself running after you.
i failed to realize earlier.
if the earlier i knew, i could've stopped you.
those words struck this little fragile heart of mine.
the words i dreaded you have to say, "i now say goodbye. .."

soon i catched your hand.
surprised, you turned to see with those shining eyes,
but what made them shine more were the tears falling down to your lips.

light stars to fade, and the darkness creeps in.
the remains of the one i loved,
the remains of once a beautiful girl.
now dissipated into dust that was blown away by the wind.

suddenly i opened my eyes.
i woke myself up from a dream that was morphing into a nightmare.
it was a better choice
rather than experience the pain i don't like to feel.

i closed my eyes for a bit moment,
longer than a standard blink.
there i saw your face,
I've seen once again that sparkling smile of yours.
and soon I've felt your presence.

from there i laid to sleep once again.
gathering my thoughts from the remnants of a broken dream.
hoping to see you once again,
and live in a world only found in our dreams.
