I Close My Eyes

Sometimes I just close my eyes
And listen to the girl who silently cries
Hoping that this might be the day
That you will return to me and stay

When I open them, there you'll stand
Walking beside me hand in hand
All that's done will remain in the past
And this time our bond will last

So I'll just sit and close my eyes tonight
All through the day and into the night
My eyes will never open again
Cos I'll only find things are still the same

    XD The era of all capitals :3 Been a long long time since I've done that on purpose.

    I like the rhyming in this poem because im nostalgic and i remember when i did the same thing. (I actually miss doing it and i wish i stilled rhymed like an idiot because it made me feel cool ;) )

    THis poem is quite obviously about depression and someone who feels alone, in the poem they wind up closing their eyes (maybe dying) to never open them again (as the title hints at) xD
