A chameleon disguised as a tiger
Blending in with a lion to be a liger,
Looks way yonder and sees a rose
But its really a shark once you're up close.
I was attacked by rain in a dark alley today
And I tried to dodge the sharp teeth that came my way
Giving out a roar like a Nazi car-washing machine
The sounds it made put me back in a dream.
I was in a state of dreaming, gliding down a blue slide
That washed away to reveal the color red was satisfied.
Blood gushed, war was rushed with cries
Now we are left to deal with those who died
And their ghosts don't go away, they're all inside.
Your conscience looks down from above
As you cast a vote on behalf of war.
You read between the lines that show no love
And bathe in blood and ask for more.
Pawns march backwards to the tune of the Moon
From the first day of August to the last of June.
Those who're dying are crying while you smile big
And stuff your face with sugar while you hold your wig--
If it fell off everyone would see a pig.
Your aunt whose voting for war is a spineless coward
And you can say the same about grandpa Howard
Who nonchalantly sends his son to bathe in blood
And smear himself in tears while saying he loathes
Every single person who sends powder enveloped.
Excuse me while I cry a tear for the sun
And hope for the second coming of the son.
Mankind, don't you want my faith returned?
When you send your kids to die I feel burned.
And even the comatose patient lifts a hand to cast
A vote for death that makes him feel so vast
Like the king of the world without balls has just
Taken all his things and walked holding hands with lust.
I'm trying to see the love between the lines
But It doesn't appear right on the surface
So I look for signs.
You say you've heard it through the grape vine;
I heard it in babies and their crying faces
Deceived to think every thing is fine.
I look and see you have an empty cup
A little love will fill you up
