Ill Memories and a Blind Man

by Indian Comma Bean   Oct 26, 2008

These words I see
In my heart are blind...
For no expression will they ever have
That could clear the clouds in your eyes.

For only rain shall fall,
And thunder boom in memory
Of what could have been...
But never of what is now.

Flashes of happiness seem to flicker
Like the light above your head.
Never again did you ever seem to think
Of the ideas you used to inspire the hopeless.

Now the world is a grim, grey place,
And you drag your feet across the glass.
No pain you could comprehend shall suffice
For the suffering you go through in love.

In my heart I am blind,
But I still see the tears in your eyes...
