Before There Was You

by sarina   Jun 7, 2004

Before there was you,
an ocean of tears I did cry.
Before there was you,
all my heart knew was a lie.
Before there was you,
all I had experienced was pain.
Before there was you,
nothing in life did I ever gain.
Before there was you,
I cut very deep.
Before there was you,
every day I felt weak.
Before there was you,
I felt I had nothing to live for.
Before there was you,
my heart felt a tore.
Before there was you,
I was blind and could not see.
But now that you are here,
all that stuff has gone away from me.
You have given me strength,
and have shown me the light.
No longer am I blind;
I now have the sight.
I thank you for turning away all the
"before",
and in return I give a heart with love to the core.
