It seems so long ago
That me & you would smile,
Our relationship was painless,
And lastest quite a while.
I never fully understood
how it came to be,
but now you are so distant,
and never speak to me.
I remember awhile back,
You said something so dear,
"I Promise I Wont Leave You",
as i smiled with a tear.
I remember clearly
The last words that were said,
You asked for a promise,
so i smiled and shook my head.
You looked at me angrily,
and yelled it to my face,
"Promise to NEVER talk to me!"
My words fell into place.
I smiled and quietly spoke,
"You want A promise, you say.."?
I thought for a moment
I knew id got MY way.
I grinned and looked at you,
"Don't speak to me in that tone..
You must have forgotten sweetie,
I dont make promises for people who can't keep their own."
