The Blue Rose

by Dustin   Oct 27, 2008

The Blue Rose:

Twas a tale many year ago
Of an enchantress from a world away
Who fled from dwelling and beau
To find herself astray

It said that she be liar, thief
And woman of lustful yearning
Whose mothers heart broke with disbelief
When her child envied her learning

In the kingdom of the arbor
Nor long did the Baron find
Reunion with Helena in safe harbor,
The hereafter of the duet forever entwined

In the wood of dreadful blows
Keepsake is found with a lonesome blue rose
