Two Open Books Unread

by BrokenREALiTy   Oct 27, 2008

Late night stares infect these dreams,
forever reaching for eternal sanity.
This heart begins to breathe for you,
so hard that it slowly starts to hurt.

Seamless words escape those lips,
evermore dancing on my salty tongue.
(I love you) beyond these stars
I whisper......

Affection glows between two realms;
warm hands give heat to shivering colds...
Both thinking that it's just pretend, but--
Reciprocated love remains unrequited.

Due to handiness of extra silence,
two hearts remain untouched.
But still so softly breaking,
gently cracking from the core.

*I'm converting back to cliche pieces, because how I feel right now can only be expressed through what everyone else has already said, but my emotions are my own, and best friend, I like you beyond any words can say. I just hope I find the courage to tell you sometime soon before someone else decides to steal you away...

I liked the piece and I enjoyed the read. You threw in words at points I feel though, just to throw them in there.

Well there is something I hated about this poem. The ending and how you had to explain why you are writing 'cliche' pieces. I don't think that you should have to explain that to anyone. You write what you write for a reason and if you want to share it then go ahead, but you shouldn't feel compelled to tell anyone why you write it.

I think that this poem is what you are good at, this specific catagory and it's getting a five from me, because this is what I feel the piece deserves.

You shouldn't force words, I found some words that I felt you put in there because you felt they needed to be there...or they should be there, in actuallity they didn't really make a difference.
