Politics of Fear

by FELTON PHILLIPS   Oct 28, 2008

Fear,
Often served with a smile and a wink,
to keep you off balance so you will not think.
Why anyone would want you so afraid,
to keep you unfocused so you can get played.
A little dose of fear will go a long way,
to keep you all jittery throughout the day.
What about the terrorists?
What about the socialist?
What about the Marxist?
Full of fear yet?
Just keep on swallowing,
You will get there I bet.
Everyone is out to get you, don't you know.
Don't believe that mess about reaping what you sow.
Listen to me, my friend, my friend.
If you elect me the world will not end.
No!
I don't think so, my friend, my friend.
You see, the politics of fear will never win.
