This is absolutely brillant as far as I am concerned. The flow is excellent and the message is overwhelming. We should all take heed and not wait until tomorrow to say the things we have to say to loved ones because we never know if we will be here tomorrow. I know this from experience. Very well done. This deserves to win.

This poem was extordinary! It really shows me the growth of your writing. I've read some of your contest poems but this one... I'm overly impressed with! The flow, Grant... it was soo smooth and such a enjoyable read because there was not a single time were I had to make a awkward stop and question myself about something in your poem here. Fabulous job, this poem was definatly dark, and it gave me goosebumps for some reason, I guess I really understood the message and feelings you were trying to get across in this poem. Awesome job. 5/5.

So one more chance is all I need
A little time is all I plead
To kiss my wife and hug her tight
And one more chance to say goodnight

We never realize the value of life and the love that embraces us..a touching write..take care.

    Grant,

I like this a lot. You have created a vivid picture here. Your unwillingness to go with the reaper evident, as are the reasons. So much left unsaid. so many wrongs to put right..loved ones to hold tight.

This poem effectively points out how precious life is and how we often do not realise this until our lives are threatened. I realise how you must have had to imagine yourself in that very position to write this poem.

A very good job done here.

    The poem is beautiful, Grant.
Including your wife in it is just so sweet:)))
No man goes before his time is due, I hope yours is a very long time away.
I want to hug you virtually for a long, long time to come!

Time. Who can stop time. Besides all feelings, happiness, time plays a bigger role.
And the uncertainty of it, does scare me at times too. Lovely write Grant. Muah. TC

Oh my gosh Grant, this was just amazing, thanks for recommending i read it. this was one of the most powerful poems i have read from you, it really made m think a lot about my brother, i mean life is so fragile which is why you have to be grateful for every minute and live with out regret. death is so sudden and unexpected in some cases and often leaves people with out being able to say their final good bye or i love you. (that's the really tragic part about death) I am sure that this poem has left many people thinking about their own life's and how fragile life is, a great write, very powerful and had me thinking the whole way through.
