Wow, this is a long poem. It might be easier for some to read it if the flow was a little stronger but other then that it is great. 5/5

Very interesting use of a metaphor. Thought provoking, sad and meaningful. Good imagery. Seems like the poem is really about a lost love destroyed because of rumors or gossip. Nice job. Don't worry, the sun will shine again. Time does make things a little easier and although some things and people we will never forget, with time it is easier to move on with just the memories.

This was great. It actually made me think of my best friends that I have lost and the reasons we lost one another. I had the picture in my head the whole time of the trees and it really bought up some difficult feelings for me. This in turn means that it was a fantastic poem and well written. Especially like the part where the words carved into the bark still sting underneath, its so true and it makes so much more sense used in that metaphor.
