Sometimes

by AmberSherrellxxIve Been Sitting Here Trying To Find Myselfxx   Oct 30, 2008

Sometimes angels fall right out of the sky,
And heaven's clouds seem too far to fly.
Hellbent demons fill them with lies,
Watch their pureness wither and die.

Sometimes demons change their ways,
But nobody believes and the hatred stays.
Blood drips slowly and stains where it lays,
Trapt in another miserable day.

Sometimes innocence loses it's touch,
And being perfect seems like too much.
Changing just to fit in with the bunch,
Looking so brave, but not feeling such.

Sometimes evil just melts away.
Sometimes you just relive yesterday.
Sometimes pureness doesn't conquer all.
Sometimes even angels fall.

I really enjoyed reading this poem.
Short, but full of thought and power.
These lines especially stuck out to me:

"Blood drips slowly and stains where it lays,
    Trapt in another miserable day."

Stroke of genius there, my dear.
Again, tugging on my heart strings.
