Assassin

I waited outside his house until nightfall,
the girlfriend was there and they were laughing.
The air around me was still:
Apprehensive and waiting.

He came outside to lock his car,
I stood up silently, trained in this art.
His bewildered eyes scanned my body,
like a hunter looks at his prize.

I did exactly the same thing.

His brow creased and I smiled,
amused at his ridiculous questions.
His words flew out with no control,
I waited quietly for the ultimate.

"Are you stalking me or something?"
Bingo.

"I'm not actually, quite the opposite"
I smiled widely and he gasped.
At my unintended beauty or my reason,
I will never know.

"What are you then?" He managed to gasp.

This time I laughed quickly but sweetly.

"Why, honey, I'm your assassin"

He didn't hear me.
That might be down to the 9mm I put into his head.
