Surely you knew this would happen?
Or were you always in denial?
I'll admit it wasn't easy,
Yes, letting go was a trial
But moving on was inevitable
Once all my tears had dried,
When I'd erased all the memories
And forgotten how I'd cried

So why are you so shocked,
When you see him by my side?
You should have done your job properly
Shouldn't have cheated, tricked or lied
Then maybe this new boy, stood stroking my hair
Would replace you in the corner,
Silently sobbing on your chair

So, do your thing, cause a scene
Threaten to rip him apart!
But be warned, no fight to 'prove you care',
Will help win back my heart.
You had your chance, had two or three!
But you blew it every time
You stepped on me like I was dirt
And treated love like it's a crime

So watch me kiss him like there's no tomorrow
Like the world's about to end
But turn away when that tear slides down my cheek,
