Scared

I heard the thump thump on the stairs
I heard his loud cursing
He burst into my room
Stumbiling and smelling like beer
My mom was right behind him trying to pull him back
But he swung wild and hit me square in the face
I stumbled backward seeing stars
I felt his hands smackign me
I felt the leather belt on my back
I felt the knife slicing through me
I cried out
And begged him to stop
I heard him yelling
I heard his swears
I cowered as I waited for the final blow
As always square on my head
I cried out and collapses on the ground
He stumbled out
Leaving me alone
Bleeding
And scared
