My Silent Prayer

Trying to get past,
the pain in my heart.
But it's eating me up inside,
it's tearing me apart.

I'm trying to be strong,
make it through each day.
Inside my heart is breaking,
as I silently say;

"Slowly time moves on,
but the times we had never leaves.
I will see you again,
that I truly believe.

You mean so much to me,
that you must know.
I will keep you in my heart,
everywhere I go.

I hope you never forget,
how I held you tight.
Having you in my arms,
just felt so right.

Later in the future,
you'll probably wonder why.
When you think about me,
please don't cry.

I'll think about you always,
someday the truth you will see.
This is what's for the best,
that I must believe."
