Wisest

by Sean Allen   Jun 8, 2004

The wisest of God's creatures
Sits at home and schemes up plots,
while the lesser, dumber creatures
are not as dumb as He thought.

Because this wisest being
sits in eternal fear
that one day his line will be broken,
That He will die, and disappear.

And all the while the dumber creatures
know what it's all about!
God never meant for things to last forever,
this is without a doubt.

They do not shy away from death
but they do not look forward either.
If you ask if they fear or await
you'll find the answer: "neither."

But when that fateful day comes,
and all things pass away,
these creatures will all be grateful;
the wisest will wish they could stay.

Dude, thats an awesome idea. I'm sure everybody that reads this is going to interpret this different, but i think the wisest (humans) and the least wise/dumbest (every living creature under humans) ..is cool metaphor.

    Kinda makes U think...hmmm

    Nice write:)
