Save me from the nothing i've become

"Save me from the nothing I've become'

The day he left was the day her dreams ended,
because he was her boyfriend, in him
lay all her joy
He had gone, she wished she'd never be born
She mourned, her body was torn

She searched for comfort, it deemed
to tell how she'd fell in hell with Brandy

In the middle of the night came along
her lover, things seems so right
They laughed and dined and she offered him their favorite wine
Then he came by her bed there she realized he was dead
Opening her eyes she cried
He was just an angel in disguise
Her heart beat fast, her head was spinning
Thinking about if it was his will to get killed
Now that their dreams will never be fulfilled
All those thrills, but there were no pills
Stretched her hand for a glass,
her eyes captured a bottle of brandy
From there that's all she cared for

From a glass to a bottle, pretending it was her last
She drove feeling so much alive
Shortly after was deprived of her license

Days passed she'd seen the mistakes
In her cell wishing she could dwell
Telling of her problem, calling for help
Stretching out her hands and crying out:
save me from the nothing I've become'

I loved the emotion you expressed here. It truly lured me in from the beginning and had me hooked wanting more. Your choice of words were flawless and the mood you created matched the poem nicely. You took the lyric and made it your own. Well done and a well done to Ingrid for helping out. You two worked well together and thats what its all about, helping others to grow.
