Nothing can replace

by Tangible heartache   Nov 1, 2008

A rose lies across the grand piano,
So delicate and pretty to no definite end,
A note is attached to its thorns,
A special one from a very good friend,

Hands shaking, so unsure of what to do,
She detaches it and skims the elegant hand,
Tears of joy fill her deep brown eyes,
And her heart fills with love that she can't understand,

It reads very simple and short,
"Dear Hun,
What I am saying is so simple and true,
I've been waiting forever to say it,
But I didn't know what to do,

These words never left my mind,
And you were always there,
I just want to let you know,
I'm your friend, and will forever care,

I know we've had our ups and downs,
Our goods and our bads,
But damn you look so hot,
When you get really mad,

I just have something simple to say,
And I hope you feel the same way to,
Because I am dying to say this,
I really am in love with you,"

Tears trickled down her cheeks,
And a smile was bright on her face,
Because there was a feeling inside her,
One, no one ever could replace.
