Pathfinding Melody

by Jordan W   Nov 2, 2008

I'm always so lost
like a leaf set afloat on a calm water
i float along,
no purpose to how i shift and turn
no pattern to my wanderings
my love dances about like a guttering flame blown by a breeze
i love you now
yet anger so quick
this love i have is so strong
but i am always so lost...
and so i reach
reach out onto the calm water and grasp blindly
painfully slow,
grasping for anything
straining for everything
this insane need
this unreasonable desire
boils beneath the surface
tossing me about
throwing my world in disarray
until i hear that melody so blandly called your voice
like music in my ear
it calms and entrances me so
soothes this yearning deep within my soul
slows the racing of my frantic heart
soothes the fire flowing through these open veins
and allows me to get through another day
another eternity slowly passing as i seem to freeze in time...

Very deep write, I liked the meaning behind this poem and your choice of words was greatly chosen. I would like to see this divided up into stanzas which would make the flow a bit better as well as the structure. But overall a wonderful write, keep up the good work.

    Peace, Joe
