When we were kings ( a tribute to Muhammad Ali )

by Ingrid   Nov 2, 2008

A chocolate colored torso,
moving with ultimate grace
Dancing at the arena,
perfect boxer, beautiful face

All those nights at four AM,
dad and I woke up just to watch you
Both mesmerized by the splendor
of the greatest king we ever knew

Muhammed Ali, I adored you so
the countless girls I fought with
just to feel what it was like to be you
ruthlessly relishing every direct hit

The world and I will never forget you,
my all time hero, come what may
In you the world found all virtues combined
I love you for all eternity,my sweet Cassius Clay

Dedicated to the greatest and the prettiest boxer the world ever knew. Three-time world heavy weight champion Muhammed Ali, born January 17 th 1942 as Cassius Marcellus Clay jr.
