Proud

by Broke&Lost   Nov 2, 2008

She wore her scars proud
a symbol of her past
The thin pink scars screamed out loud
that her gragile peace could not last

She cracks and she breaks
with each new smile
Believing that with time she'd make
a whole new different lifestyle

One where resorting to the knife
seemed far off and away
Where she was happy living her life
and in it she'd stay

Where needing to die
seemed like a dream
And where when she'd cry
it wouldn't turn into stream

Where people weren't fake
false smile and lies
Where their bullshit she'd take
and honesty she'd find in their eyes

But reality drags her back
and gives her a cold hard slap
Being happy is what she'd lack
and i her lies there was a trap

I love this one probably the best.
Love how you worded your stanzas as well. :)
    Keep up the amazing work.
