Be Kind, Rewind

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Nov 2, 2008

Pedal to the floor
Rubber to the dirt
Drive to the stars
Thinking it won't hurt

Pencil to paper
Metal to skin
Be kind and rewind
The same bitter sin

Glass vial to lips
Cold runs down your throat
Slips down your sweet heart
The things you'll never know

Here's where I share
The meaning of life is this
But you'll never know
You chose death's bitter kiss

Pencil on paper
Pedal to the floor
She doesn't want to hear his name
She doesn't want to love him anymore

The twist, and a snap
We're too low on time
So sit back and relax
Just be kind and rewind

Wow. Very intense. Very impressive. I liked it a lot. You have a way with words.

^^ I like the opening a lot. Especially the last line.

    Pencil to paper
    Metal to skin
    Be kind and rewind
    The same bitter sin

^^ I wonder how many times I've thought that. I mean, really. How many times can we scream, cry, repeat?

    Glass vial to lips
    Cold runs down your throat
    Slips down your sweet heart
    The things you'll never know

^^ That stanza makes me want to throw up. The things none of us will ever know...

    The twist, and a snap

    ^^ I don't think i understood. sorry.
