Respect That.

There's a smile on my face, but my heart is broken
I hold conversations but there's still so many words unspoken.
It's only been three days and I miss her so much
I lie awake at night just longing for her touch.

They don't understand how much I love her
Or what I'd give right now, just to hug her.
Everyone's just happy because I'm away from her, and home
I'm surrounded by so many people but without her I feel so alone.

She brings out the best in me, don't they comprehend?
She's what I want right now, I can't pretend.
But everyone looks at her lifestyle and thinks I'll fall in,
They don't look at it as me finally being happy because my heart this girl did win.

My smiles come from her, she brings my joy
But nobody likes her, is because she's not a boy?
A few tears here and there, with love they should be expected,
Listen to me people, I can't always be protected!

If they really cared about me, they should respect my way of life
And live with the fact that I'll love this girl for life.
They say they're looking out me for me, there's nothing worng with that,
But this is my life, even if she is a mistake, and they need to respect that.
