Upon Tonight

by Ciara   Nov 3, 2008

A curse through the night,
A battle through the day,
I wonder will I ever seize
My dark fears, or will they just stray away?
From the craving secret, that lays upon my everyday.

A burden on ones soul,
An illusion through the brain,
A hot, unworthy blow,
A lost and wasteful pain.
Struck through the shadows of the different realms
But still lingers upon tonight.

I don't dream only nightmare,
A curse from the man, who hates me,
A different kind of scenery
A different kind of life.
But yet it still lies upon this dark secretive night.

Ratings are always difficult when it comes to excellence, as is the case here, mainly because subjective reaction is just that, changeable :), however, there should be no doubt that this work delivered with deft aplomb is not a full "5" though much more than a mere "4" rating!

By the third stanza, it seems to become a different, seperate poem, however, the creator seems to have a natural knack to bring out the spirit of the contents in a way the whole seems to engulf and retain the material's reciever(s) enrapted and embraced till its finely deliverd end.
