A state of mind, that wasn't meant to be there at all,
A brain filled with unbreakable thoughts of food, hate and fall.
Magazines portraying a body that never even existed,
Eyes watching it sway, a view broken and twisted.
Observing skin and bone, nothing more, nothing less,
Hidden by silk fabric, in a size zero dress.
Zero being the operative word, simply being none,
Open your eyes and look what your body's become.
Refusing to admit you are affected by the cause,
Believing there is someone out there, perfect, without flaws.
An image of perfection given to the world,
Toxic in the mind of a healthy little girl.
Another girl flipping channels, the fashion is on once more,
Looking at the skinny bodies, as thin as before.
Just hoping the next step won't make your heart stop beat.
Well knowing it's unhealthy, yet still refuse to eat.
