Rejection

How strange that you should have these feelings for me ,
And I wonder if you even know what they mean.

Maybe you havn't even realized,
That whenever im around you seem tantalized .

In a trance you seem,
As if im a dream.

You come so close and I can hear your breathing,
Your heart racing in a rhythmic beating.

Why is it you cant let me be,
And just think of me as a fond memory.

Maybe in about a year,
You will forget me dear.

I know this hurts,
And that after this you wont want my comfort,

But I do not have these feelings for you,
The ones that you do,
That make me seem intoxicating,
That leave you with your heart aching.

I do not feel the same.

So please remember me as I once was,
A friend.
