How Do We Know?

by David Munoz   Jun 8, 2004

How do we know
If we found our one
The one we were promised
When our life begun

How do we know
If our feelings are true
So we can honestly say
“I do love you”

How do we know
If this is to be
If their one of the few
With whom we can be happy

How do we know
That their love isn't fake
That it's not a game
With your heart at stake

How do we know
If they meant that kiss
If that's their promise
For eternal bliss

How do we know
If their worth being missed
If I knew any of these answers
I wouldn't be writing this

ANd the one guy in my life, we are like in love, but i don't even know if is true anymore~ just because i can't really say i am in love, i just feel special when i am around him~ But reading your poem made me really think and i still am thinking about it~ I can't believe u wrote something so wonderful! i love it i love it i love it!!!!!! Thank you so much for expressing what ive been trying to say forever and a day! I mean i cant really be a realtionship because of all these questions running through the highway in my head. But yeh, my x boyfriend (my bestfriend) told me just to trust "love". Trust the other person and the relationship. So ya, dont worry too much about it. You can search for love...love will come unexpectedly... no worryz.....
