Sparks of Light

by distorted images   Nov 5, 2008

This mystic world that we grow in,
shoots memories and pain through me
For i can not be seen here,
Hiding my face with brambles and shrubbery

I have been lost in pondering shadows,
as a thousand pesky mouths nip at me
But my home amongst the brambles,
is the only peace for me

One night i was tossed by howling winds,
my shrubs broken and strewn about
My little home now broken to bits,
my heavy heart giving out

The brutal storms shrieks now distant,
the sky's face now sparks of light
I stand upon a sodden ground,
sad eyes recording the night's blight

Wiping the tears upon my cheeks,
i set off to mend my home
For the world has never loved me,
but i know i am not alone

The sparks of light upon the sky's face,
will be my guide tonight
My shrubs and brambles my home once more,
i will have hope and peace tonight
